Journey to Somnathapura ChennaKesava Temple
it was around 8:30 a.m in the Morning we Planned a Short Trip to Somnathapura which is around 50km from Home we decided to Travel to Somnathapura so its around 1 Hour Journey of Travel By road so we Decided suddenly and we are getting ready for another Journey, " Morning Climate Conditions was Sunny and Cool not Much of Hotness so it was normal so we Planned as a Family Trip so My family Joined me, dad, mom, and sister, and GrandMother so totally 5 Members we Got Ready a Bit Late so we took Lunch for the afternoon in case if late so we got Ready around 11:00 a.m and left the Home around 11:15 a.m so Setting the Location to Somnathapura so Exactly 50km From Home so... crossing a Moderate Traffic Condition Road so 5minutes Delay... crossing Signal and reached GrandMother house and from there 45km to Somnathapura so key things were I need Return soon & Cross the Major Signals in the City and i have to Be on the Correct way... so these things were on my Mind and i was Driving at the Speed of 50km/h and reached the Center of City around 11:45 a.m and to Cross the Signal we were waiting for a Minutes to Cross and Traffic Conditions were Heavy in city center so i was Finding gaps and trying to Drive Speed and safe and my Concentrations was fully on Road and i will be serious during Driving so searching Gaps and Moving Between Vehicles in car is a Major Challenge so i was Driving Like that and Crosssed Nearly two main Signal and Reached the Nazarbad Circle so from here we need to Travel 20kms and u can Even Take Narsipur Road but i passed through Siddharatha Nagar and Bannur side so which will Connect us to T.Narsipura so the Highways are State Highways which will Connect to Kollegal and TamilNadu we Crossed Bannur 12:00 p.m traffic Conditions were Moderate but near Ring Road Signal the Traffic Conditions were High ...so i waited near Signal...it was around 12:15 p.m to Cross the Ring Road Signal so time was Passing So quick...so we are Half of the way... so after Crossing the Ring Road we are on SH 33 Mysore malavalli road and which also called jattipalla kanakapura Road crossing the Near By Village and Crossed Kaveri Bridge which was Wonderful to watch on Between the Road it was 500meters Long in distance where we can Kaveri River Flowing so was Wonderful Sight and " Delay for 5 Minutes due to some Issues near the End of the Bridge...after crossing the Bridge in Few Minutes we Reached Bannur after Few Meters we reached Checkpost of Bannur Town and which almost 25km from Mysore City so we have to take next Right Near Santhemala on Taking right near Santhemala and Connecting to SH 79 G.P Mallappapuram Kollegal and which is Also Called T.Narsipur and Srirangapatna Road.... so the Road was Nice and surrounding were trees on Both the sides the road was Curvy and wonderful Climate Conditions so i was Driving at the Speed of 70km/h was at Moderate Speed and i need to go Around Few Kilometers and Take a U turn to Temple...it was around 12:50 p.m we Reached Somnathapura so we are 50 minutes Late due to Traffic in City... so Taking a U turn and 500 Meters to Reach Chennakesava Temple Crossing Somnathapura Postoffice and searching for Parking " OMG Parking full i kept the car near the Open land " Phone Ringing " Dad " there is an empty space for Parking near the Gate.." so I rushed and Parked in Front of gate " offed the Car Engine wearing shoes and just Meters away from Gate.....
Finally @ ChennaKesava Temple Somnathapura... & Exploring ChennaKesava Temple...
This pic was taken from the Otherside of Temple and I Managed this View At ChennaKesava Temple at the entrance Fruit Seller Cutting Fruits and Selling and Dress Shops were under Tree it was Noisy near the Entrance of Temple Gate and Tickets for Indian Citizen is 5.00 and for Foreigners its around 100.00, For Still Camera, it's Free For Video Camera it's 25.00 so overall it cost me around 30.00 I took Tickets for Video Camera as well moving Forward in the Path we found Gardens on both the Sides path is in Between the garden was wonderfully maintained by Temple Authority a green garden with Flowers which was wonderful to watch at the entrance and also Fountain which was Kept on Right Side which was wonderful too...so finally we entered just a few meters away from the Temple Entrance... the View was Like this...
Every architecture was Made of Stone the Look from where am Standing was shade from Trees and Below was Cement Surface u need to Leave your Footwear before entering actual Temple...the Climate at Somnathpura was Wonderful Sunny Morning with Sky Blue and Clouds Moving not Much of Hot air only Cold air Breezing and bit heat on the Ground... we Left our Footwear and Moved on to another Entrance so u need to Show Tickets here Before Entry after Crossing the Entry on the Right Side was Chennakesava Temple History...
Continuing our Journey now let's Explore Inside ChennaKesava Temple Climbing Huge Steps and we are near the Entrance... Moving One by One Entering Temple at 1:00 p.m outside the temple it was hot when u entered the Temple it was cool and touching the Pillar Stone were Cool... the Entrance View was Like this...
the Pillar was Wonderful which was made in the 13th Century the Architecture type is Hoysala Architecture...which was wonderful at the entrance the Temple is an Old and Historic and well Maintained By temple authority we looked at Certain architecture so which were Interesting and inside temple Fully made of stone which was Cool and Wonderful we Noticed the Hall there was a Gopurum Like Structure which was Very wonderful and Interesting to watch...the View was Like this...
the interesting thing was it looked in Different Shapes the Outer Design is Different and Inner Design is Different after having a Look at the Top we Found a Separate Place were we spotted Lord Vishnu Statue we need to Move Inside and see the Lord...as per Temple History some Statue of Lord was Damaged...
This Statue was Inside the Temple and was inside Grills u are Not Allowed to Touch u can See that's all Bcoz some Architecture are Damaged so be careful each one is the Identity ... so after coming outside from Place... lots of People Started to Cum Inside the Temple there was only one Entrance so Place was Bit Conjusted somehow there were Places to Sit Near Pillars and it was Huge Granite Stone which was Huge in Size we sat for few Minutes inside Temple on the Huge Granite stone after Few Minutes we Exploring the Outer Architecture of ChennaKesava Temple... so u need to be very very careful while sitting at the edges bcoz some rocks are cracked " a Couple of People were scolded by the authority for not following the Temple Instructions...
so from the entrance of Temple, we Started and seeing the Architecture Hoysala which was Wonderfully Built and the Gods Statue was used in Architecture which was Wonderful to watch and Different Forms of Vishnu was made in Architecture and the View was Like this...so these were Made on Stone and architecture is Hoysala and it's on the Temple wall Edges Very Beautifully made and setting the design in stone is a Difficult job bcoz Design may vary but if u Look at these it is made like art but really a wonderful Design .. so not only on one side But the Entire Temple Architecture is Hoysala...so u can feel the Design By touching the Architecture and How it is made so every edge is Made wonderful and shape like Squares and Triangle on Edges were Made wonderful in stone... Which made it Look Different.
so we are Looking at the walls of Temple and Touching and Feeling the Effects so which was Wonderful Feel the Stone and Architecture were Designed so wonderful and even the Edges of the Sitting area it was wonderful...and the Other side of the Temple Look was Like this...the Other side to reach their u need to come to the entrance and should Climb steps on that side end...there is Separate Entrance which is called "Mandapam" so which can make the Look so there is Pillar in front of each door...
the View from Temple side we Completed the View of Architecture of the Temple so we are now going to Climb Otherside of Temple "which is a 50meters Gap from the Temple u need to Cross the Entrance and Climb the Stairs on Otherside "Exploring each mandapam and can come to a Conclusion its Lord Vishnu "Avatars" so each has a Unique Mandapas u are not allowed to Touch the Statues and am Standing Below the Shades and Focusing the Different angels of Temple from Another side it was amazing and wonderful it was Like this...
the View of temple From another side i.e From Mandapams Looking at the Sky Blue in Colour and Clouds were white and the Beauty of Architecture was Amazing look from this Side "the Tree which was wonderful to watch " so with Difficult Conditions I somehow managed this Click From Otherside bcoz the Focusing Light was Changing Sky Colour making it Look Dark so I Got a Click which was one among 20shots that I have taken From Otherside...u can see Goprum on top I have already told about Gopuram we had some wonderful time on the other side we can see the wind blowing in our Directions i.e Left-hand side go to till the end so we found Different mandapam ...
and Coming to the Right Side before going to Right side I had a Click near Temple-Architecture which was like this...u can see elephant statue which is at the Edge will damage if u sit on the Rock... Be careful u will Be Fined for that...so going to the Rightside of the Temple oh wonderful Statue which is on the Right-hand Side "Asking Authority The Statue is Vishnu Avatars " which are all Kept in Line... while View the Statues a Guide with a Family came and were told about the History of Vishnu... u can Fix Guide if u want there are separate Charges so u need to pay them separately... that depends on Language...for Translation Purpose and it was around 2:30 p.m we left temple and walked towards the Tree were we Left our Footwear so Moving Fastly it was Very Hot to walk in Barefoot...we reached the Place below banyan tree...and from here we need to Reach 500 to 600 Meters to Go back to Main Gate...going to the Main gate " on the Right side water spraying at the Green Garden and on the left side we found few Birds coming to Drink water which is on the Fountain at around 2:45 p.m we reached the main gate...
and I started the Car's Engine but before we Leave we had some Snacks and Sugarcane Juice which satisfy our Thristyness and nearly it took 10minutes to Have Snacks and I was Bit fresh after having a Break... at around 3:00 p.m we are Ready to go Back to Home Crossing Somnathapura Postoffice " Sudden Break due to cows Crossing Roads" and Moving on took Left Turn and Joined the Main road again same Route " Mysore Mallavali Road .. now Returning one Route so I was in speed at around 85km/h Crossing The Kaveri Bridge " Moving Slowly Bcoz People are Standing at the edge and Taking Selfie and Crossing 5minutes Delay near Bridge...and after 30minutes we joined Kanakapura road after Crossing Bannur Checkpost within 4:00 p.m I reached Siddharth Layout " Traffic Conditions were Moderate as compared to other days was Reduced my Speed to 65km/h keeping the Traffic Conditions on Mind and Drive on...so entered City Center at 4:30 p.m with Heavy Traffic Conditions so Moving slowly Stopping at Signal for 2minutes and Moving on the Busiest Road at Speed of 60km/h Minutes passed by we reached Home at 5:00 p.m Leaving My Grandmother on another House... hence this trip was a Short Family Trip we Planned Suddenly and we went it was Near to City around 50KM.. " I went for Blogging Purpose I took My Sister mom dad and Grandmother so to known More Details about the Place and Also for Change I took them but it was a wonderful Movements we had at ChennaKesava Temple .... hope to see u all in another Journey of My Until then Bye Bye.....
